During the Combined Naval Event 2025, which took place from May 20 to 22 in Farnborough, UK, D-2 Inc. unveiled its latest advancements in conductivity, temperature, and depth (CTD) sensor technology.

Advanced CTD Solutions for Underwater Operations

At the event, D-2 presented its specialized CTD instruments designed specifically for underwater naval applications. These systems deliver accurate measurements of oceanic salinity, temperature, and pressure. Renowned for their compact form factor, minimal power consumption, and rapid, dependable performance, D-2’s CTD sensors are meticulously crafted to thrive in challenging marine conditions.

Diverse product Range and Manufacturing Excellence

D-2 offers a variety of models, including the standard Ocean CTD, the Ultra Low Power CTD, and the popular CT sensor. All closed-field cells are produced in the United States, allowing for swift manufacturing and seamless integration with underwater platforms without affecting calibration. These attributes make them especially suitable for quick deployment in unmanned systems.

Efficiency and Precision in Sensor Technology

One of the highlights from D-2 is the Ultra Low Power CTD, which operates on a mere 10 mA. This remarkable efficiency makes it ideal for use in Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs),Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs),profilers,and submarines. Despite its low power requirements, the sensor maintains remarkable accuracy thanks to its closed-field precision design.

Introduction of the PEAK Testing Kit

Additionally, D-2 launched its PEAK Testing Kit at the event. This portable fuel laboratory is encased in a robust, military-grade container, designed to certify fuel quality for U.S. military operations.The kit conducts all necessary tests without needing to be removed from its protective housing.

Field-Ready Fuel Quality Assurance

The PEAK Testing Kit empowers operators to assess fuel quality in real-time through automated, user-kind testing protocols.This capability allows helicopter missions to extend their operational range,refuel from verified sources,and safely return to their carriers,thereby mitigating the risks associated with fuel contamination and potential aircraft loss.
