SDO 50 Helicopter UAV

The SDO 50 is an advanced unmanned helicopter boasting a flight duration exceeding three hours. It is capable of operating in various weather conditions, including rain and snow, and can withstand wind speeds of up to 21 knots, making it suitable for both day and night missions.

SDO 50 Helicopter UAV

Featuring a unique Flettner intermeshing double rotor design, the SDO 50 enhances both payload capacity and flight stability.

Swiss Drones UAV HelicopterThe VTOL system is a cost-effective choice to manned aerial solutions, requiring minimal training for operators. This quickly deployable aircraft can be transported in a van and set up for flight by a two-person team in just 15 minutes.

The SDO 50 UAV is outfitted with a sophisticated autopilot system, high-performance GPS, and magnetometer, with optional redundancy features. Its datalink comprises a primary S-band link and a secondary UHF-band link, with additional LTE/4G options available upon request.

Swiss Drones Data Link

Unmanned Helicopter Ground Control StationThe standard data link range of 40 km can be extended for longer missions upon request.

The UAV is operated through a robust portable ground control station (GCS), which includes a built-in keyboard, monitor, and 3-axis joysticks.

Successfully tested at an altitude of 11,500 ft AMSL (density altitude) in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius and windy conditions, the SDO 50 has proven its capability for missions in challenging environments.

Multi-Purpose UAV with Interchangeable Payloads

Thanks to its impressive payload capacity, the SDO 50 V2 can accommodate various sensors and payloads, enabling diverse long-range mission capabilities and extensive flight autonomy. We provide a selection of top-tier sensor solutions as standard.
