ALSEAMAR: Pioneering Advanced Underwater Solutions
ALSEAMAR specializes in the growth, manufacturing, operation, and maintenance of cutting-edge underwater technologies that address challenges in scientific research, marine energy, and defense sectors. Our diverse range of innovative products includes the long-endurance SEAEXPLORER series of underwater gliders, alongside refined solutions for buoyancy, submarine-launched UAVs, and oceanic data acquisition.
Underwater Gliders: The SEAEXPLORER Series
The SEAEXPLORER series of unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) is designed for autonomous sensing and data gathering, boasting operational durations of up to eight weeks.
These gliders utilize variable buoyancy propulsion systems, allowing them to navigate silently through the water column. They can be outfitted with various payloads for missions including oceanographic research, environmental assessments, acoustic monitoring, and anti-submarine operations.
The SEAEXPLORER gliders are not only cost-efficient but also have minimal logistical requirements, eliminating the need for support vessels during missions and enabling straightforward deployment from research ships.
SEAEXPLORER 1000
Multi-functional Glider for Oceanographic Research
The SEAEXPLORER 1000 represents the latest evolution in our underwater glider technology, featuring enhanced power efficiency, improved payload management, and reduced acoustic emissions.
With a remarkable endurance of up to 110 days and a payload capacity of 8 kg,or the ability to carry six sensors in both wet and dry bays,it is well-suited for diverse applications, including:
- Oceanographic & Environmental Monitoring – Gathering extensive physical, chemical, and biological data using sensors like CTD,dissolved oxygen, methane, and fluorometry.
- Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) – The advanced AURIS payload enables the SEAEXPLORER to detect and analyze underwater sounds and marine life, and also identify potential security risks.
- Rapid Environmental Assessment – By measuring bioluminescence, light penetration, sonar propagation, and water currents, the SEAEXPLORER supports safe naval operations.
SEAEXPLORER 200
Efficient glider for Coastal Data Collection
The SEAEXPLORER 200 is specifically engineered for data collection in coastal environments, operating effectively at depths ranging from 20 to 200 meters. It can be fitted with either a single or dual battery system to accommodate varying endurance and range needs.
This robust platform is versatile, capable of executing a wide array of civilian and defense missions similar to those of the SEAEXPLORER 1000.
SEAEXPLORER 1000-M
Stealth Glider for Defense Applications
the SEAEXPLORER 1000-M is tailored for defense and security operations, featuring advanced capabilities such as acoustic stealth, data security, and compatibility with UAVs.
Key applications include:
- Acoustic Intelligence (ACOUSTINT)
- Underwater Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)
- Seabed and Underwater Warfare
- Rapid Environmental Assessment (REA)
- Search and Recovery Operations
The SEAEXPLORER 1000-M is currently in development and is expected to launch by the end of 2025.
Buoyancy Solutions for ROVs & AUVs
Our BMTI division offers a comprehensive range of subsea buoyancy solutions tailored for ROVs (remotely operated vehicles), AUVs (autonomous underwater vehicles), and trenching machines.
We provide both standard foam blocks and fully customized buoyancy modules, crafted in-house using proprietary materials and technology. Our project management services ensure support throughout every phase of the process. BMTI buoyancy solutions are designed for depths ranging from 1,000 to 12,000 meters,precision-engineered and finished with protective coatings and high-strength metal inserts.
BLACK BIRD: UAV Launch System for Submarines
Innovative UAV Deployment from Submersibles
The BLACK BIRD system equips submarines with the capability to launch UAVs, enabling the collection of critical real-time data from the surface while maintaining stealth.
This system employs a compact quadcopter drone that is launched from a submerged vehicle, complemented by a surface communications antenna that relays data back to the submarine.
Our Services
Marine surveying
The SEAEXPLORER glider is perfectly suited for a variety of coastal and offshore marine monitoring and deep-sea exploration tasks, capable of operating for weeks or months without the need for a support vessel.
The glider navigates through the water using a sawtooth pattern and can be equipped with various sensors to gather data on numerous physical and biochemical parameters.
We offer comprehensive turnkey services that include mission planning, glider deployment and recovery, 24/7 operations, real-time and post-mission data analysis, and final reporting.Potential applications encompass: Marine & Environmental science:
- Oceanography
- Water quality and pollution assessment
- Eutrophication studies
- Acoustic surveys
subsea Oil & Gas Installations and Offshore Platforms:
- Environmental baseline assessments
- Operational support and metocean studies
- Oil spill response strategies
- Pre-exploration and seep detection
- Marine mammal surveys
- Monitoring offshore energy infrastructure and pipelines
Passive Acoustic Monitoring Services
We offer PAM (Passive Acoustic Monitoring) as a service utilizing our autonomous SEAEXPLORER platform, equipped with specialized payloads for recording, in-situ detection, and direction finding.
This service provides a rapidly deployable acoustic barrier that enables the detection, localization, and tracking of potential threats.
The SEAEXPLORER can reach target areas up to 1,000 km away and remain operational for up to three weeks.
Rapid Environmental Assessment
The SEAEXPLORER is also capable of conducting rapid environmental assessments (REA), collecting data on bioluminescence, light penetration, sonar propagation, water currents, and more.
