Precision AUV Tracking & Navigation
Engineered for 12 and 21-inch class AUVs, the AvTrak 6 integrates a USBL transponder, LBL transceiver, and modem into a compact, low-power unit that delivers precise position reference data for AUV inertial navigation systems (INS). This device is capable of transmitting robust telemetry for communications between AUVs and vessels, as well as AUV-to-AUV interactions.
The module is offered in various configurations, including options for integral or remote transducers, directional transducers, and high-power (HP) variants, with depth ratings reaching up to 7000m. An OEM version is also available without housing for seamless integration into existing systems.

AvTrak 6 Nano OEM Integrated Tracking System
Compact transceiver for small AUV & ROV tracking
The AvTrak 6 Nano OEM is specifically tailored for smaller unmanned underwater vehicles like ROVs and AUVs. It retains many features of the larger AvTrak 6 transceiver, with a depth rating of up to 995m and an integrated Li-ion rechargeable battery that offers up to 10 days of emergency standby life for extended relocation and recovery scenarios.
The AvTrak 6 Nano OEM is compatible with Sonardyne’s Mini-Ranger 2 6G Wideband USBL system and supports the standard 6G command language along with Sonardyne’s messaging Service (SMS) telemetry, providing a unified navigation and data link solution in a single device.

Syrinx Subsea Doppler Velocity Log
High-precision AUV & ROV navigation
The Syrinx Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) operates at 600 kHz and is designed for both unmanned surface and underwater vehicles, functioning as a standalone DVL or as part of an integrated system.
This dual functionality means that only one DVL/altitude sensor is necessary for both ROV control and survey operations, optimizing costs and payload capacity.
Syrinx can be paired with Sonardyne’s SPRINT INS to enhance DVL-aided navigation, offering improved velocity prediction and redundant positioning capabilities. it also features a robust low-altitude mode that ensures high accuracy and output rates, even at altitudes below 1m.
Syrinx comes standard with a titanium housing rated for 4000m, with additional options for 3000m, 6000m, and OEM (no housing) versions available.

Survey-grade inertial navigation for ROVs & AUVs
Designed for ROVs and AUVs, the SPRINT is an acoustically-aided subsea Inertial Navigation System (INS) that effectively processes data from USBL, LBL positioning, Doppler Velocity Log, and pressure sensors to enhance position accuracy, precision, reliability, and integrity.By integrating an AHRS (Attitude Heading Reference System) with an AAINS (Acoustically Aided Inertial Navigation System), subsea inertial navigation can commence or resume instantly upon receiving a position update, eliminating the need for a lengthy alignment period.
The SPRINT hardware platform maintains a continuous 15-day backup of all real-time navigation and raw data on an onboard SD card.

Integrated INS and DVL for precise ROV navigation
SPRINT-Nav is a comprehensive system that merges the SPRINT INS sensor with the Syrinx 600 kHz Doppler Velocity log and a high-accuracy bright pressure sensor, delivering high-performance subsea navigation for underwater unmanned vehicles. It is available in three performance levels and two depth ratings of 4000 and 6000 meters.
SPRINT-Nav Mini is a compact hybrid acoustic-inertial navigation system, perfect for observation-class and work-class rovs, as well as unmanned underwater vehicles operating in GPS-denied environments.
Utilizing the same proven algorithms as the larger SPRINT-Nav models, the SPRINT-Nav Mini effectively fuses its sensor outputs to deliver high-precision orientation, velocity, altitude, and depth data. This single compact unit replaces the need for separate AHRS, DVL, and pressure sensors, resulting in reduced cabling, fewer connectors, and simplified operation.
The SPRINT-Nav Mini is available in both 300-meter and 4000-meter depth-rated versions.

Ranger 2 Subsea Positioning (USBL) System
Remote tracking and communication for AUV & ROV
Engineered for both deep and shallow-water tracking of subsea vehicles, the Ranger 2 is a high-performance USBL (Ultra-Short Base Line) subsea vehicle positioning system, achieving optimal accuracy of better than 0.1%. It is compatible with all dynamic positioning (DP) systems available in the market.
Ranger 2 can track multiple subsea targets or transponder nodes simultaneously and transmit data to the surface with high-speed communications. it is ideal for a variety of ROV or AUV missions, including surveying, oceanographic research, and seismic exploration.
The Ranger 2 USBL tracking system can be mounted on USVs to remotely monitor the position of underwater targets, such as AUVs, and facilitate communication with them.
The capabilities of Ranger 2 can be further enhanced with optional Survey, Dynamic Positioning, and Professional add-on packs.

Mini-Ranger 2 is a USBL underwater positioning system capable of tracking up to ten underwater targets, such as divers and ROVs, at depths of up to 995 meters. Its compact and portable design makes it ideal for nearshore operations on smaller vessels.
Mini-Ranger 2 consists of a desk or rack-mounted Ethernet Serial Hub and the high-powered HPT 3000 acoustic transceiver. Utilizing Sonardyne’s 6G and Wideband 2 technologies, it provides precise acoustic ranging and hardware performance even in the most challenging subsea conditions, and is compatible with various Sonardyne 6G mini transponders for a wide range of applications.

Solstice is a Multi Aperture Sonar (MAS) system crafted for high-precision AUV missions, including Search, Classify, and Map (SCM), hydrographic surveys, and mine detection.

With the capability to generate high-fidelity imagery and an industry-leading along-track resolution of 0.15°,Solstice excels even in very shallow waters,consuming only 18 Watts of power,making it ideal for prolonged unmanned missions.
Advanced onboard processing yields geo-coded side-scan imagery suitable for integrated Computer Aided Detection and Classification (CAD/CAC) and Automatic Target Recognition (ATR). A vertical hydrophone array on each side provides high-quality bathymetric data, enabling the creation of highly detailed digital terrain maps.

High-speed data transfer for AUVs
is an underwater wireless optical communication system designed for high-speed video and data transfer, as well as tetherless control of unmanned underwater vehicles. Its built-in Ethernet connectivity allows for easy integration with existing subsea networks. The system’s flexible architecture enables compatibility with other Sonardyne acoustic navigation, control, and monitoring devices.
BlueComm is available in three models:
- BlueComm 100, optimized for shallow-water environments with high ambient light, providing a data rate of 5 Mbps at a 10m range
- BlueComm 200, designed for deepwater and nighttime operations, achieving data rates of up to 12.5 Mbps with a range of up to 150m
- BlueComm 5000, a dual bi-directional laser system capable of reaching data transfer rates of 500 Mbps
