The RIEGL VQ-840-GL stands out as a cutting-edge laser scanning solution designed for both airborne topographic and bathymetric surveys. This advanced scanner employs a visible green laser capable of penetrating water, enabling the measurement of submerged objects. Users can store digitized echo waveforms on a removable data card, facilitating thorough waveform analysis later. This feature allows for the capture of targets that produce complex multiple-echo signals. Additionally, the device can be paired with an inertial navigation system and a high-resolution digital camera to enhance accuracy and expand its functionality.
