RIEGL VQ-860-G: Advanced Airborne Laser Scanning Technology

The RIEGL VQ-860-G airborne laser scanner is engineered for precise surveys of inland and coastal waters, offering superior water penetration capabilities. this system can reach depths of up to three Secchi depths when operated at an altitude of 75 meters. with measurement frequencies reaching 100 kHz and scanning rates of up to 100 lines per second, it provides outstanding spatial resolution.

weighing in at just 15 kg, this compact device is ideal for larger drone platforms. its robust mechanical design, along with a dust- and splash-resistant casing, ensures reliable performance in demanding conditions. Additionally, it can be fitted with a digital RGB camera for enhanced color imaging and comes with a fully integrated IMU/GNSS system for improved location and orientation accuracy.

The RIEGL VQ-860-G is versatile, making it suitable for various applications such as coastal and river mapping, hydraulic engineering assessments, and hydroarchaeological studies.
