Introducing TACNAV 3D: advanced Tactical Inertial Navigation System
The TACNAV 3D represents a cutting-edge tactical inertial navigation system (INS) that utilizes fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) technology, integrated with a GNSS receiver. This system ensures reliable position, navigation, and timing (A-PNT), enhancing situational awareness even in environments where GNSS signals are unavailable. Its modular architecture allows it to operate independently as an inertial navigation solution or serve as the backbone of a comprehensive A-PNT-enabled battlefield management system.
Precision Engineering for Enhanced Navigation
Equipped with high-precision gyroscopes and low-noise accelerometers, along with three axes of magnetometers for automatic gyro bias correction, the TACNAV 3D provides exceptional heading accuracy, dead reckoning navigation, and orientation capabilities.
Optional Features for Enhanced Functionality
Among its optional enhancements, the TACNAV 3D can include a chip-scale atomic clock (CSAC) to ensure the integrity of the pulse-per-second (PPS) signal. Additionally, an Iridium transceiver can be integrated to facilitate the transmission and reception of vehicle positions, waypoints, and target locations between command centers and other vehicles.
