Introducing the PLANET 9770 FTI Terminal: A Cutting-Edge Solution for Drone Development
The PLANET 9770 FTI (Flight Test Instrument) terminal is a premier choice for those engaged in the creation of prototype drone systems. It’s versatile design allows for seamless integration with various airframe types, including both rotary and fixed-wing models. This terminal offers global midband connectivity through the Iridium Certus 100 service, achieving data rates of up to 22 kbps for outbound communication (from the aircraft) and 88 kbps for inbound communication (to the aircraft).
Advanced Technical Features
At the heart of the terminal lies a fanless SMARC module powered by a Linux operating system. it is indeed equipped with two Ethernet ports and two serial interfaces, facilitating the connection of external sensors and devices. Additionally, an integrated GNSS receiver ensures precise autonomous location tracking and timing capabilities. The unit is designed with an aerospace-grade, low-profile passive antenna and is currently in the process of obtaining DO-160 certification.
