Autopilot Systems for AUVs and ROVs
The autopilot system for AUVs and ROVs is built on the robust SPECTRE autopilot board, which has been successfully integrated into various submersible vehicles. This system is versatile and can manage diffrent levels of control in:
- A manned submersible, such as a swimmer delivery vessel (SDV) or a mini-submarine;
- A semi-autonomous vehicle, with or without a physical data link to the operator’s workstation;
- A Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) connected to the operator’s workstation via a physical data link;
- An AUV or Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) in communication with a support vessel;
- A fully autonomous AUV/UUV executing ‘fire and forget’ missions.
The AUV/ROV/UUV autopilot system provides extensive control over heading, speed, trajectory, attitude, and depth/height, along with advanced Dynamic Positioning capabilities.
