Dive into Innovation: Meet the SRV-8 Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle!

Introducing the SRV-8: A Cutting-Edge Underwater Robot

The SRV-8 stands out as a highly agile underwater robotic system, featuring an innovative 8-thruster dynamic Vector Control (DVC) mechanism that enables comprehensive 360° movement across six axes. This compact, one-person deployable unit can be operational in less than three minutes and is conveniently controlled using a standard Xbox controller, ensuring intuitive handling in diverse underwater conditions and environments.

Remarkable Performance and Versatility

With a remarkable operational duration of up too six hours on a single battery charge and a depth capability of 305 meters (1,000 feet), the SRV-8 is perfectly suited for a range of applications, including infrastructure assessments and search-and-rescue operations.

Modular Design for Enhanced Functionality

The ROV’s modular frame rails allow for the integration of various accessories, such as grabber arms, manipulator tools, and multibeam sonar systems, enhancing its utility for specialized tasks.

Efficient Connectivity and Control

Fast-connect features facilitate seamless integration between the ROV and its tether, linking to a robust topside control unit equipped with an 8.4-inch monitor that remains visible even in shining sunlight. The tether reel accommodates lengths of up to 400 meters (1,312 feet), while the tether’s 4.5mm diameter minimizes drag, weight, and current impact, simplifying maneuverability and stability.

Robust Tethering System

Designed with a unique strain relief connection, the tether boasts a pull strength exceeding 300 pounds, making it suitable for launching and recovering the SRV-8 from elevated platforms or assisting in the retrieval of substantial objects from the ocean floor.

Advanced lighting and Imaging Capabilities

The SRV-8 is equipped with two powerful 1,500 lumen LED lights that illuminate a 135° area in front of the vehicle, ensuring optimal visibility for operators.Additionally, the onboard camera provides a clear real-time analogue feed for immediate viewing, alongside an HD 1080p digital feed for on-site monitoring or future analysis.
