Subsonus represents a cutting-edge USBL (Ultra Short Base Line) underwater acoustic positioning system. It integrates an advanced eight-channel hydrophone array, meticulously factory calibrated, with a tightly coupled Inertial Navigation System (INS). This innovative technology allows for operation at depths reaching 1000 meters, delivering precise outputs for position, velocity, adn heading by combining acoustic positioning with Doppler velocity and calibrated inertial sensors.

Enhanced Performance Through Dynamic Adjustments

One of the standout features of Subsonus is its ability to dynamically modify its acoustic transmit power based on the distance to the target. This capability substantially enhances short-range performance by minimizing noise and multipath interference. Additionally, Subsonus employs a groundbreaking method to measure sound speed in water, enabling self-tuning without the need for additional equipment or user setup.
