EIZO Rugged Solutions Inc. has unveiled the Condor NVA500xX, a cutting-edge XMC form factor AI/GPGPU card tailored for demanding computational tasks within high-performance embedded computing (HPEC) environments.
This innovative card is powered by the NVIDIA RTX A500 GPU, built on the Ampere architecture, featuring 4 GB of GDDR6 video memory, 2,048 CUDA cores, 16 second-generation RT Cores, and 64 third-generation Tensor Cores.
Additionally, the Condor NVA500xX supports PCI Express Gen 4 and includes specialized H.265/H.264 encoding and decoding engines, facilitating real-time collection, processing, analysis, and streaming of ISR data.
These advanced features allow for efficient data handling from various sensors, leveraging machine learning to deliver prompt, actionable insights for critical missions.
This XMC GPGPU solution is particularly suited for C5ISR applications that require low-latency data processing, edge computing, digital signal processing (DSP), signal intelligence (SIGINT), and other high-performance electronic warfare (EW) tasks.
The condor NVA500xX is available in both conduction-cooled and air-cooled variants, designed to comply with MIL-STD-810 standards for defense and aerospace environmental conditions, with all components manufactured in the USA.
John Payne, Senior Product Manager at EIZO Rugged Solutions, remarked, “The NVIDIA RTX A500 serves as a headless GPU, providing the embedded defense sector with a distinctive processing solution that strikes an optimal balance between power and performance, along with robust AI/ML capabilities.”
“By eliminating video outputs, the XMC coprocessor dedicates the GPU’s full potential to inference and other intricate GPGPU tasks. The Condor NVA500xX XMC card paves the way for SWaP-C-constrained systems to implement AI/ML pipelines effectively.”
