Teal has joined forces with Volatus Aerospace to deliver universal mobile carrier-independent connectivity for drones equipped with cellular technology, enhancing reliable autonomy and enabling Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations for thier clients.
Teal simplifies connectivity by offering both single and multi-eSIM options, allowing clients to link any drone to any network across the globe. Customary roaming can incur high costs, but Teal’s solution connects cellular drones directly to international networks. This results in reduced latency, increased redundancy, improved throughput, and significant cost savings.
“We are thrilled to provide Volatus with a streamlined solution that empowers them to offer customized aviation-grade data connectivity for their critical drone operations worldwide,” stated Robert Hamblet, CEO of Teal.
“Teal equips Volatus and its clientele with on-demand access and real-time configuration for any compatible mobile network globally. This ensures swift, efficient, and dependable deployment of drones anywhere on the planet,” remarked Dean Attridge, VP of Solutions Engineering at Volatus Aerospace. “Utilizing Teal enhances our flexibility, boosts performance, and greatly minimizes account management efforts when our clients engage with multiple mobile carriers.”
volatus Aerospace has initiated the deployment of Teal’s eSIM platform in both Canada and the United States, with plans to extend Teal’s capabilities to all cellular-equipped drones worldwide.
