ElevonX Launches Innovative Scorpion 2.0 and 4.0 UAV Launch Systems
elevonx has unveiled two advanced elastic-powered UAV launch systems, the Scorpion 2.0 and Scorpion 4.0, aimed at improving the safety and efficiency of drone deployment.
Design and Usability
Both models are crafted for portability and user-friendliness, allowing two operators to easily transport and set them up. Emphasizing safety and reliability, the Scorpion systems are ideal for various missions, including commercial, tactical, and research applications. The elastic-powered launch mechanism ensures consistent launch speeds with a minimal error margin of just 0.2 m/s, facilitating accurate and repeatable launches.

Specifications and Performance
The Scorpion launchers are compatible with a wide range of UAV platforms and come in two distinct sizes. The Scorpion 2.0, measuring 3.2 meters, can deliver up to 2.2 kJ of launch energy, while the larger Scorpion 4.0 spans 4.6 meters and offers up to 4.0 kJ. both systems are engineered to launch UAVs at a speed of 15 m/s, with the 2.0 model accommodating a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 14 kg, and the 4.0 model supporting up to 28 kg.
Designed for straightforward setup and operation, the launchers feature adjustable settings to cater to various UAV configurations. The elastic components are securely housed within the launcher tube, minimizing the risk of damage or injury in case of a band failure.

Durability and Customization
Constructed from CNC-machined aluminum and stainless steel, the systems feature a marine-grade pulley system and are finished with a powder coating for enhanced durability. An optional 12V electric winch can be added, allowing the system to reach full tension in about 60 seconds. The carriage and foldable arms can be tailored to fit specific UAVs, with ElevonX providing custom-machined adapters for seamless integration.
Long-lasting Performance
Designed for longevity and efficiency, the Scorpion launchers can execute hundreds of launches with minimal maintenance, making them suitable for a variety of operational needs.
