Elistair has unveiled its newest unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) series, the Orion 2.2 TE Tactical Tethered Drone.

The Orion 2.2 TE boasts advanced tactical functionalities, an increased payload capacity, and a versatile two-in-one modular design that broadens its operational capabilities.

Equipped with the cutting-edge Nextvision Raptor, XQT AI, and XQT LRF—which includes a laser rangefinder with a reach of 3 kilometers—the Orion 2.2 TE is engineered to deliver extraordinary real-time imagery for military forces, border patrols, and national security organizations.

Advanced Mission Software

Powered by T-Planner V1.2, Elistair’s innovative mission software enhances the Orion 2.2 TE’s imaging capabilities with new tactical features, including target tracking, automated object classification, and predefined scanning routines, all of which streamline surveillance operations.

Versatile Design for Multi-Mission Operations

The Orion 2.2 TE is specifically designed for diverse mission profiles, thanks to its adaptable two-in-one structure. This UAV can be easily modified in the field to switch between standard and heavy-lift rotor configurations, allowing for a payload capacity of up to 5 kilograms.Furthermore, a payload advancement kit ensures continuous power supply and a secure Ethernet connection for data transfer, enabling the integration of third-party payloads.

Efficient Deployment and Logistics

Packaged in a compact two-case system, the orion 2.2 TE has a minimal logistical footprint and can be rapidly deployed by a single operator.

Elistair has announced that the initial deliveries of the Orion 2.2 TE are scheduled for late September 2023.
