Elistair,a frontrunner in the field of tethered unmanned aerial systems,has launched KHRONOS,an innovative fully automated drone system tailored for intelligence,surveillance,and reconnaissance (ISR) operations in environments where GPS/GNSS and RF signals are compromised.

Rapid Deployment and User-Pleasant Operation

With the ability to be deployed from a portable dronebox in less than two minutes, KHRONOS is designed for both stationary and mobile platforms, requiring minimal human intervention.This feature allows operators to maintain a “mobile watchtower” without the need for extensive training or meaningful financial investment.

With nearly a decade of experience in providing tethered drones to clients across over 70 nations,Elistair has leveraged this expertise in the development of the 66-pound KHRONOS. This drone offers continuous aerial surveillance, day or night, with a range extending up to 10 kilometers for a full 24 hours.

Built to withstand harsh weather and off-road conditions, KHRONOS operates effectively in both GPS/GNSS-denied and RF-denied settings, thanks to its sophisticated positioning technology and secure tethered dialog. Its compact logistical footprint and open API facilitate easy integration with various vehicles.

Innovative Features and Future plans

As stated by Elistair’s CTO, Timothée Penet, “Our goal with KHRONOS was to create a tethered drone that is easy to operate, versatile for different applications, seamlessly integrates with existing systems, and is built to endure tough environments.”

Powered by the latest version of Elistair’s mission software, T-Planner 2, KHRONOS is equipped with advanced capabilities such as target tracking, automated object classification, and camera slewing directed at points of interest.

Elistair anticipates delivering the first KHRONOS units to clients in January 2024, marking a new era in tactical ISR capabilities.
