Exail Supplying 5 DriX H-8 USVs for ISR Missions

Exail has secured a European defense contract to provide 5 DriX H-8 USV, marking a major milestone in the operational deployment of DriX uncrewed vessels

Exail Supplying 5 DriX H-8 USVs for ISR missions

Exail has been awarded a strategic defense contract with a European nation to supply a fleet of 5 DriX H-8 Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs) for ISR missions.

Initially developed for hydrographic missions, the DriX H-8 USV is a proven, mature, versatile platform, designed to operate in shallow and deep waters, and execute many diverse civilian and military maritime missions.

This is the largest order to date for Exail’s DriX platform, reflecting naval and maritime security forces’ increasing adoption of uncrewed surface systems. The contract also emphasizes the shift towards integrating autonomous platforms into modern ISR.

Major naval forces, such as the the U.S. Navy and the French Navy, have already trusted the DriX H-8 USV, with the platform showing robust performance during key multinational operations, including NATO’s REPMUS and Task Force X exercises.

Jérôme Bendell, Head of Exail Maritime Systems Business line, stated, “We are honored by the trust placed in us by this European partner. This contract highlights the growing strategic need for unmanned maritime ISR capabilities, and we are proud that DriX has been selected to meet that challenge.

“It is also a recognition of DriX’s maturity, reliability and operational impact. At Exail, we remain committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation in support of global maritime security.”
