Exciting New Contract Secured for Inertial Navigation System Featuring EOD Upgrade!

Aiming to improve the capabilities of a military ROV, the U.S. Navy has contracted Greensea IQ with US$2.79M to supply its EOD Edge Upgrade-enhanced IQNS system

New Contract Secured for Enhanced Inertial Navigation System

Greensea IQ Secures Major Contract for Advanced Navigation system

Greensea IQ has successfully obtained a contract exceeding $2.79 million through Darley, based in Itasca, IL, in collaboration with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) as part of its Tailored Logistics Support Program.

Enhancing Naval Operations with the IQNS System

This agreement will provide the U.S. Navy with the IQNS system, the latest iteration of Greensea IQ’s inertial navigation technology, now upgraded with the EOD Edge feature. This enhancement is designed to bolster the capabilities of the MK20 defender Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) within the Navy’s Maritime Expeditionary Standoff Response (MESR) initiative.

Timely Delivery and Integration

The IQNS system is scheduled for delivery within the next four to six months, equipping the U.S. Navy’s growing fleet of MK20 Defender ROVs with state-of-the-art navigation and autonomy solutions.

Engineered for seamless integration with existing platforms, this system provides a vital upgrade aimed at improving explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) missions, enhancing both precision and operational efficiency.

Proven Performance and Commitment to Innovation

Earlier this year, the IQNS with EOD Edge Upgrade underwent extensive testing in collaboration with the Navy, successfully meeting the rigorous demands associated with fleet expansion.

This system exemplifies Greensea IQ’s ongoing dedication to advancing subsea robotics, delivering unparalleled navigation and autonomy performance for military and defense applications.

Insights from Leadership

paco Santana, Vice President of Business Growth for Defense at Greensea IQ, remarked, “Our team collaborated closely with the U.S. Navy throughout 2024 to ensure that the IQNS meets the operational requirements of the MESR program.”

“the accomplished testing and validation underscore the system’s value in enhancing the capabilities of our nation’s defense forces.”
