Portable Radar System for BVLOS Drone Operations
Sparrowhawk is a state-of-the-art portable ground radar system designed to enhance DAA (detect and avoid) capabilities for BVLOS drone operations. Utilizing advanced computer vision technology, it offers the situational awareness necessary for extensive operational coverage, reaching up to 1400 square kilometers from a single radar unit.
Engineered for installation in mid-sized vehicles, Sparrowhawk addresses the SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) challenges of airborne DAA radars while minimizing the expenses associated with conventional ground-based systems. the complete setup includes radar hardware, a Software-Defined Radio (SDR) dongle, an ADS-B antenna, and airspace management software.Its user-pleasant API facilitates integration with your ground control station or UTM (unmanned traffic management) system.
Offering comprehensive 360-degree coverage day and night, and under various weather conditions, Sparrowhawk can identify numerous airspace obstacles and hazards, including:
