Turkey’s ULAQ Unmanned Surface Vessel Secures Initial Export Deal

The ULAQ Armed Unmanned Surface Vessel, a collaborative innovation by Meteksan Defense and ARES Shipyard, has achieved a notable milestone by finalizing it’s inaugural export naval contract with Qatar.

This significant agreement was formalized with Qatar’s Ministry of Interior during the milipol Qatar Exhibition, marking a historic moment as Turkey’s first venture into unmanned surface vessel exports.

Specifications of the ULAQ 11 PSV

Under this contract, the ULAQ 11 PSV Port Security Vessel will be constructed too fulfill the operational requirements of the Qatar coast Guard Command.Its primary functions will include reconnaissance, surveillance, intelligence gathering, and safeguarding critical infrastructure.

The ULAQ 11 PSV is set to be delivered post-contract signing and will feature advanced capabilities, including a 12.7 mm remote-controlled weapon system, complex radar, secure dialog systems, and autonomous operational software, all integrated into a high-performance platform.
