Fixed-Wing UAV Parachutes

Represented by UAV Propulsion Tech, PASA’s EU-designed and produced Protect UAV range of drone parachute solutions includes circular and cross designs, and feature an automatic cord-cutter system that releases the parachute once the aircraft has landed, minimizing the potential for damage due to high wind and drag. The compact and lightweight systems stabilize rapidly after deployment, and feature low tendency of oscillation.

Standard sizes are available for UAVs with MTOWs of 45 to 100 kg, with other options available upon request. A custom-built computational configuration tool allows parachutes to be tailored to unique requirements.

Other features and benefits of PASA’s Protect UAV range include:

  • High speed range for initial phase of deployment: 60 to 220 km/h tested, extension feasible
  • Moderate G-load throughout total deployment-range due to configurable slider system: standard <6g
  • Extreme low weight and dimensions for minimal impact on payload budget: standard 1.5-2.0 kg with 4-6.5 liter volume
  • Re-useable: 10+ deployments possible
  • Development and production in accordance with aeronautical engineering regulations
