Gladiator Enhances Inertial Sensors with Cutting-Edge High-Speed Processing!

Gladiator Technologies has announced that it has updated its MEMS IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) product line with VELOX Processing

Revolutionizing Inertial Measurement: gladiator Technologies unveils VELOX Processing

Gladiator Technologies has unveiled an enhancement to its MEMS IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) lineup, introducing the innovative VELOX Processing technology. This cutting-edge approach utilizes complex rapid sampling and signal processing methods to deliver data at remarkable speeds while maintaining minimal phase lag. With VELOX, system designers can transition from conventional analog inertial systems and rate sensors to advanced digital alternatives.

Technical Advancements for Enhanced Stabilization

“The VELOX Processing technology embodies our proprietary high-speed, low-latency capabilities, providing meaningful benefits for system designers, notably those concentrating on stabilization solutions,” remarked Eric Yates, Business Growth Manager at Gladiator technologies.

Features of the SX series

All digital IMUs, gyroscopes, and INS/GPS products within the Gladiator Technologies SX Series are equipped with VELOX Processing, offering a variety of high-speed output options tailored to the selected model. To facilitate synchronization in systems requiring high output speeds, the SX series is designed with dedicated external sync connector pins and firmware that allows users to choose the optimal output speed and baud rate for their specific applications.

Key Enhancements of VELOX Processing

  • Data output rates reaching up to 10 kHz
  • Message timing as low as 185 microseconds
  • Negligible phase lag
  • Data transmission speeds up to 6 Mbaud
  • Bandwidth capabilities of up to 350 Hz

“The growing demand from customers for high-speed output and near-analog responsiveness prompted us to explore unconventional processing techniques,” stated Lee Dunbar, Chief Software Architect at Gladiator Technologies. “The outcome of this initiative is VELOX Processing, designed for applications that necessitate real-time, high-resolution inertial data.”

Upcoming exhibition at AUVSI Xponential 2019

Gladiator technologies is set to showcase its latest innovations at the AUVSI Xponential 2019 trade show in Chicago, highlighting the advancements in inertial measurement technology.
