Gladiator Technologies Launch High Performance MEMs AHRS

Gladiator Technologies released the LandMark™ 50 Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS).

Gladiator Technologies released the LandMark™ 50 Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS). This new AHRS builds upon the successful heritage of the company’s LandMarkTM AHRS product families, including the LandMark™ 10, 20, 30 and 40. The LandMark™ 50 AHRS is form, fit and function interchangeable with the proven LandMark™ 30 AHRS, yet offers substantial improvement in performance utilizing their newest high performance MEMS gyros and accelerometers.

All LandMark™ AHRS’s use only gyros and accelerometers to accurately calculate pitch and roll angles. The unit also includes a hard and soft iron calibrated temperature modeled triaxial magnetometer for heading as well as internal barometric pressure sensor. The internal software will automatically provide turning error correction with an external customer supplied velocity input, either analog or digital. All Gladiator AHRS’s share a common messaging protocol for a “common cockpit” approach enabling users the option to choose the AHRS performance, size, weight and price that best suits their application without having to rewrite any interface software. The LandMark™ 50 AHRS features robust environmental sealing for EMI protection with an RS485 data rate of 100Hz (4 KHz internal sampling rate) and offers many advanced performance features:

  • Pitch & Roll Angles ±0.1° typical
  • Heading Angle ±0.5° typical
  • Wide Input Voltage Range +6V to +36V
  • Low Gyro Noise 0.001°/sec/√Hz (0.042°/√Hour)
  • Low Accel Noise 0.025mg/√Hz
  • In-Run Gyro Bias 1°/hour 1 σ
  • Altitude ±3 meter typical
  • Fully Temperature Compensated Bias and Scale Factor
  • Misalignment 1mrad and g-Sensitivity <0.002°/sec/g 1σ
  • External Sync Input (1 kHz or 1pps)
  • Bandwidth Filtering Capability
  • Export U.S. Commerce ECCN7A994

Gladiator’s CEO, Mark Chamberlain, stated, “Gladiator Technologies continues to rapidly innovate and introduce high performance MEMS inertial technologies with the release of the LandMarkTM 50 AHRS and will be introducing other new inertial systems soon.”
