Global Launch of the Halo Drone Communications Platform!

The worldwide version of Elsight’s Halo drone communications system enables users to use just one Halo connectivity platform across different cellular communications providers

Elsight Ltd has introduced a global version of its Halo drone communication system, enabling operators to fly anywhere in the world without needing to modify their equipment for different cellular networks.

Halo Card 5G & LTE

According to Yoav Amitai, the CEO of Elsight, the launch of this universal Halo communications modem is set to revolutionize the drone sector by enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs.Operators can now navigate various regions without the hassle of switching modems.

before the introduction of our global connectivity Halo, many clients operating across different continents highlighted this necessity to us,” mr. Amitai stated.

“Now, they can conserve both time and resources by avoiding the need to replace Halo modems whenever they operate in areas serviced by different cellular providers,” he added. “We are thrilled to have addressed this issue for them.”

Additionally, Elsight offers drone operators the flexibility to utilize a universal SIM card instead of country-specific options.

This innovation could empower Australian drone firms to operate seamlessly in regions such as Asia, Europe, or the United States, using the same modems across these territories.

The global applicability of the new Halo modem, along with the growing adoption of universal SIM cards, is anticipated to enhance Elsight’s supply chain efficiency and lower production expenses.

Over time, the rising use of global SIM cards will streamline our supply chain, leading to cost reductions and improved productivity,” Mr. Amitai explained.

The value of our Halo is gaining significant recognition across various sectors worldwide. A recent instance was during the major outage experienced by Australian provider Optus, where drones powered by our Halo maintained their flight paths without interruption.

mr. Amitai emphasized that the new global Halo will maintain its lightweight, energy-efficient design, and compact size for optimal size, weight, and power (SWaP) characteristics.

Elsight’s Halo establishes a single bonded tunnel utilizing multiple links from LTE, 5G, SatCom, and RF connections to ensure uninterrupted communication between a drone (UAV or UAS) and ground control stations.

whether stationary, portable, or mobile, the Halo can support up to four LTE/5G modems, with optional RF and SAT links via an ETH/UART port. This unified bonded connection enhances reliability and boosts data transmission capabilities.
