Gotonomi is a leading developer of miniaturized satcom and cellular connectivity solutions enabling BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight) operations for commercial UAVs.
Providing a secure always-on communications link between drone operators, unmanned aircraft, and air traffic control/UTM, our products enable OEMs, system integrators and operators to equip their platforms with reliable command and control as well as ultra-reliable data and video streaming capabilities for BVLOS inspection and surveillance applications.
Global BVLOS operations for commercial UAVs
Thanks to our partner Viasat, we offer coverage for unmanned aircraft operating virtually anywhere in the world through the Velaris service. Velaris is the first service from Viasat that has been specifically designed to provide commercial UAVs with ubiquitous connectivity and safety capabilities. Our solutions also provide coverage through cellular network services.
The Gotonomi product family provides a reliable and secure platform for developing the next generation of commercial drone applications, free from the constraints of line-of-sight communications links. Satellite and cellular data can both be intelligently routed through an SD-WAN connection to cloud services, with separate paths and QoS for C2 and telemetry.

Satcom for UAV inspection & surveillance
Our low-SWaP satcom terminals are ideal for equipping UAVs with long-range inspection, monitoring and surveillance capabilities, delivering ultra-reliable video streaming via the Viasatellite L-band satellite network.
Our solutions are compatible with a variety of COTS video encoders. We offer a specialized Inspection Bundle that comes pre-installed with Videosoft’s low-bandwidth video compression software, allowing live video feeds at bitrates as low as 1kbps even under highly challenging and variable network conditions.
Deployment-ready satcom solutions
Our terminals have been rigorously tested under real-world BVLOS flight trial conditions in the US, Canada, Brazil, Europe and Australia. All our products are Viasat type-approved, and certified to a variety of local safety standards including FCC and CE.
Gotonomi hardware is provided with airtime to suit your specific requirements, and we are one of a select number of Airtime Distribution Partners (DP) that are able to provide specialized UAV airtime packages offered by Viasat.
We provide expert integration support as well as a 24/7 helpdesk, and are experienced in integrating satcom terminals with both COTS and proprietary UAV flight control systems.
Our products are also ideal for use with Videosoft’s low-bandwidth streaming solution, providing reliable video feeds even under highly challenging and variable network conditions.
