Strategic Alliance: H3 Dynamics and Ripper Corporation
H3 Dynamics has forged a importent strategic alliance with Ripper Corporation, aimed at enhancing Ripper’s drone capabilities through the integration of H3 Dynamics’ innovative DBX drone stations.
Partnership Overview
As May 2022, this collaboration has been operational in Australia, combining the expertise of H3 Dynamics, a leader in aerial mobility and hydrogen aviation, with Ripper Corporation, which specializes in advanced drone operations, search and rescue missions, pilot training, and technology innovation.
Technological Advancements
This multi-year agreement will enable Ripper Corporation to implement the DBX G7 (Dronebox 7th Generation) system, a cutting-edge vertiport designed for autonomous drone operations across Australia. The DBX G7 is engineered to work seamlessly with Ripper’s tailored drones, while H3 Dynamics will utilize it’s extensive global distribution network to introduce Ripper’s drone solutions to international markets.
Autonomous Operations and Safety Features
The DBX G7 operates similarly to an on-site drone pilot, managing navigation, docking, battery recharging, data collection, and cloud processing—all autonomously and remotely. H3 dynamics anticipates that this technology will mitigate labor shortages and associated costs by reducing the necessity for on-site personnel. The DBX G7 is equipped with multiple safety features, crucial for obtaining beyond Visual Line Of Sight (BVLOS) approval from the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA), a process spearheaded by Ripper Corporation.
Comments from Leadership
Taras Wankewycz,CEO of H3 Dynamics, remarked,“The inclusion of Ripper corporation in our network of global strategic partners highlights the rapid growth in the digitization of unmanned aviation systems, particularly in Australia. We are privileged to collaborate with a partner dedicated to enhancing community safety through innovative technology.”
Community Impact and Applications
Ripper Corporation has collaborated with various governmental bodies, employing drones for search and rescue operations, including initiatives for surf life saving, crocodile and shark safety, and koala conservation. Their partnership with Surf Lifesaving Queensland utilizes Ripper drones along a coastline of 6,967 kilometers, not only for life-saving efforts but also for refining Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, data collection, and piloting techniques.
Real-World Applications
Jason Young, CEO of Ripper Corporation, stated, “Our six years of field experience have shown that drones substantially enhance efficiency in urgent situations, such as delivering life-saving equipment to swimmers in distress or issuing alerts during shark or crocodile sightings. The DBX G7 will further bolster our capabilities in these critical scenarios, aligning with our vision for a ‘Beach of the Future’ where technology plays a pivotal role in saving lives.”
upcoming Exhibition
Ripper Corporation, in collaboration with Western Advance, is set to showcase the first Australian demonstration of the DBX G7 in Perth from October 24-28, 2022.
