Introducing Advanced 4-Port MIMO Antennas for ISR Operations
Southwest Antennas has unveiled a pair of innovative 4-port antennas designed to fulfill the growing need for single-radome MIMO solutions tailored for medium-range aircraft engaged in Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. These new models are built upon the company’s established MIMO technology, incorporating enhancements specifically aimed at addressing the unique demands of these operations.
Enhanced Design for High-Performance Missions
The latest antennas feature a newly designed flange mount base and have been fortified to withstand the elevated altitudes and speeds typical of medium-range military turboprop aircraft. These aircraft are frequently deployed for various missions, including surveillance, patrol, search and rescue, and logistical transport.
Impressive Speed and Versatility
With a conservative airspeed capability of up to 374 MPH, these compact and user-friendly MIMO antennas are suitable for integration with aircraft, helicopters, and larger UAV systems. This versatility allows for seamless incorporation into tactical MIMO radio networks, enhancing operational efficiency.
Specifications and Options
These antennas are available in both S and C Band configurations, each capable of handling 50 Watts of RF input power per port. Below are the detailed specifications for each model:
