The idME Pro employs both Wi-Fi (utilizing NAN and Beacon frames) and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy, compatible with Bluetooth versions 4.0 and 5.2) to facilitate drone operator identification and surveillance through contemporary mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. It can be seamlessly connected to a Pixhawk drone controller using a JST connector and can optionally include a GNSS receiver and antenna for enhanced functionality.
To ensure full operational capability, the module requires a position source, along with additional parameters, which are sourced directly from the MAVLink protocol. The use of AT commands allows users to configure broadcast messages, including details such as the drone’s identification number and aircraft type.
The idME Pro has been meticulously developed in accordance with the latest ASTM and ASD-STAN standards related to Remote ID, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
