EIZO Rugged Solutions has introduced an innovative standalone video splitter, the Hydra 1004R, designed to meet MIL-STD-810 standards for rugged environments. This compact and lightweight device excels in distributing high-definition video across various applications, especially in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations.

Key Features of the Hydra 1004R

The Hydra 1004R is equipped with five easily accessible front-facing connectors, facilitating straightforward installation in diverse settings. It effectively splits a 3G-SDI,HD-SDI,or SD-SDI input signal into four 3G-SDI outputs (BNC),ensuring seamless video viewing and distribution. Additionally,the device automatically adjusts to the input resolution,enhancing user convenience. Status indicators for power and SDI link are prominently displayed on the front panel, allowing for swift status checks.

Enhanced Signal Integrity

This advanced unit incorporates built-in signal regeneration technology, which re-clocks the 3G-SDI signal to maintain optimal video quality.By conditioning the SDI signals, it minimizes video jitter and data interference, ensuring low-latency video distribution that meets the demands of critical applications.

Durability and Longevity

Engineered for longevity, the Hydra 1004R is designed to function effectively for over a decade. It adheres to rigorous stress, regression, and aging criteria outlined in MIL-STD-810 standards. The device operates efficiently across an extensive temperature range of -40 to 85°C and can endure high humidity levels of up to 95% without condensation.It is also resilient against shocks of up to 40g and vibrations of 0.1g²/Hz, making it suitable for the most challenging environments.

With its robust design and advanced features, the Hydra 1004R stands out as a reliable solution for high-quality video distribution in demanding conditions, ensuring that users can depend on its performance for years to come.
