Introducing the New Rugged Cloverleaf Antennas for Unmanned Systems!

Southwest Antennas have announced an updated line of rugged cloverleaf omni-directional antennas designed for unmanned systems applications

Southwest Antennas has unveiled a new series of durable cloverleaf omni-directional antennas tailored for unmanned systems and multi-antenna MIMO/MANET radio applications.

Enhanced Performance for Diverse Applications

These antennas are ideal for air-to-ground RF communications and can be utilized in configurations featuring multiple antennas with opposing polarizations. This design enhances isolation between antennas that are situated close to one another. The updated cloverleaf omni antennas come in both left-hand and right-hand circular polarization, offering three frequency ranges:

  • 2.2 – 2.3 GHz
  • 4.4 – 4.7 GHz
  • 4.7 – 5.0 GHz

Robust Design for Challenging Environments

Engineered to withstand harsh conditions, these antennas are sealed to prevent water ingress and can endure immersion in up to 20 meters of water when fully connected. Their frequency range makes them notably suitable for applications in federal law enforcement audio and video systems, and also surveillance, security, and unmanned systems.

Key Features and Advantages

Notable features of these antennas include:

  • An omni-directional radiation pattern available in either right-hand circular polarization (RHCP) or left-hand circular polarization (LHCP).
  • Over 40 dB of isolation between two co-located antennas with opposing polarizations, representing a meaningful enhancement compared to traditional vertical or slant-polarized antennas.
