Ophir IR continuous zoom lens

Ophir Optronics Solutions has unveiled its latest innovation, the SupIR 60-1200 MWIR f/4 lens, specifically engineered for SXGA/HD 10µm and 15µm VGA pitch focal plane array (FPA) cooled MWIR cameras. This lens features an automated zoom interface and continuous zoom capability,ensuring crisp and clear images across its entire field of view,making it particularly suitable for counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) applications.

Advanced Features and Specifications

The SupIR 60-1200mm f/4 lens boasts a horizontal field-of-view (H-FOV) ranging from 0.3° to 8.6°. As the latest member of the SupIR series compatible with SXGA/HD 10µm detectors, it is built to endure extreme environmental conditions, operating effectively within a temperature range of -32ºC to +85ºC. The lens is equipped with Ophir’s cutting-edge abrasion-resistant and anti-reflective (AR) coatings,IP 67 sealing,and a robust mechanical design that can withstand meaningful shock and vibration.

Ophir lenses are crafted for straightforward mechanical and electronic integration, utilizing Ophir’s standard software to ensure optimal calibration and field performance. Additionally, these lenses come with advanced zoom controller functionalities, including continuous zoom with focus retention, automatic focus compensation across varying temperatures and zoom levels, a close focus mode for nearby objects, focus blurring for non-uniformity correction (NUC) calculations, and complete manual and automatic control over zoom and focus settings.
