Klein Marine Systems has chosen Exail’s Octans Nano OEM Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) as the navigation solution of choice for its 5900 Side Scan Sonar (SSS).
This integration significantly enhances the sonar system’s performance in precision seabed imaging across defense, security, and commercial maritime operations.
Engineered for compact subsea platforms, the Exail Octans Nano OEM AHRS delivers precise heading data with 0.5° secant latitude accuracy and pitch/roll measurements accurate to 0.1°. These specifications ensure a stable reference frame for high-resolution sonar imaging, directly contributing to reduced post-processing requirements and improved positioning fidelity. Its lightweight form factor and low power demands make it particularly well-suited for long-duration underwater deployments.
