Mimer SoftRadio
Remote control of two-way radios on board unmanned systems
Mimer SoftRadio transforms conventional radio communications into IP-based streams, enabling full remote operation of radios installed on board drones and other autonomous or remotely controlled vehicles. Using a PC interface, operators can transmit, receive, and monitor radio communications in real time, without needing dedicated telecom infrastructure at the mission site.
Mimer Basic Operator supports up to eight devices and is suited for small control rooms or mobile units, while Mimer Operator XL scales up to sixty devices and is designed for large-scale or multi-user environments.
SoftRadio Overview:
- Remote radio control via IP from any location
- Supports analog and digital radios from 60+ manufacturers
- Real-time push-to-talk (PTT), audio monitoring, and channel control
- Scalable for single-radio setups or large multi-vehicle fleets
- Customizable touchscreen interface with virtual radio panel
- Ideal for mobile command centers and UAV ground stations
A core component of the system is the Mimer Network Interface, a compact device that links onboard radios to the network. This ensures continuous communication between control centers and deployed unmanned platforms, even across national or maritime boundaries.

Mimer SoftRadio Service
Cloud-ready middleware for unmanned communications integration
The Mimer SoftRadio Service is a scalable software engine designed for developers and integrators building custom control systems for unmanned operations. By hosting the RoIP logic in the cloud or a remote server, the service removes the need for local SoftRadio infrastructure, allowing flexible integration with UAV ground control software, mission planning systems, and remote maritime command tools.
Main Characteristics:
- IP-based control of analog, DMR, and TETRA radios
- Open API for integration with web, desktop, or embedded systems
- Operator and radio abstraction for dynamic management
- Real-time updates on communication status and activity
- Shared access for multiple operators per radio
- Compatible with mobile, fixed, or cloud deployments
This architecture is particularly suited to operations where radios are used as primary communication channels between unmanned platforms and centralized control rooms.
Mimer SoftLine
IP bridge for legacy & mixed-technology environments
Mimer SoftLine provides a compact, hardware-based solution for extending communication capabilities in unmanned systems operations. It connects radios, telephony systems, and intercoms to IP networks, enabling remote operation and cross-system interoperability without the need to replace legacy equipment.
Core Capabilities:
- Connects radios, phones, and intercoms over IP
- Supports both analog and digital platforms
- Designed for 24/7 use in mission-critical scenarios
- Enables interaction between drone operators and maritime crews
- Suitable for expanding unmanned communications infrastructure over large distances
SoftLine is used in public safety, transportation, utilities, and industrial sectors to support reliable communication in critical operations.
Mimer X-Link
Bridging radio systems across unmanned mission zones
Mimer X-Link enables the interconnection of geographically separated radio systems via IP, allowing radios on unmanned vessels or aerial platforms to stay connected to distant base stations and control rooms. This is essential for maintaining voice links in wide-area operations or during missions requiring backup communication paths.
System Highlights:
- Bridges disparate radio systems via IP, regardless of brand or type
- Supports analog and digital radios, including base stations and repeaters
- Carries audio, PTT, and control signals with low latency
- Compact and portable for vehicle, shipboard, or field deployment
- Replaces traditional links such as leased lines or microwave
X-Link supports unmanned missions where operational continuity is critical, particularly in maritime and cross-border applications.
Mimer VoiceLog
Voice recording & transcription for unmanned operations
Mimer VoiceLog is a centralized audio recording system that logs all communications between operators, UAVs, USVs, and other connected systems. Designed for traceability, incident review, and compliance, it supports both fixed and mobile setups.
Key Features:
- Logs radio, phone, and intercom audio via SoftRadio, including unmanned vessel and drone communication links
- Real-time AI transcription for readable communication records and autonomous mission oversight
- Timestamps, metadata tagging, and PTT event logging
- Support for multilingual operations and global missions
- Networked or local storage options for mission archives
This functionality is especially useful for USV/UAV fleet coordination, allowing operators to review full communication logs for mission analysis and documentation.
