this meaningful event, which connects defense industry leaders with military representatives from various Asian nations, is scheduled to take place from May 23 to 27, 2023, on Langkawi Island, Malaysia.

Insights from Meteksan Defence Leadership
Selçuk Kerem Alparslan, the president of Meteksan Defence, expressed enthusiasm about the company’s debut at the LIMA exhibition. He stated, “We are thrilled to be part of LIMA 2023, a pivotal event in the region, where we will showcase numerous products tailored for naval forces.”
He highlighted the YAKAMOS 2020 Hull Mounted anti-Submarine Warfare Sonar as a flagship product, emphasizing its significance in the sonar technology sector and its successful deployment with various naval forces globally.
alparslan also noted the ULAQ Unmanned Surface Vessel family, developed in collaboration with ARES Shipyard, as a key attraction at the exhibition. The ULAQ SAR (Search & Rescue) variant will be unveiled for the first time, featuring specialized equipment designed to enhance Coast guard operations.
“Our sonar systems, along with the advanced electronics and signal processing technologies we have developed, are currently in use by the Turkish Naval Forces. I am confident that these proven solutions can also be integrated into international submarine projects and modernization efforts,” he added.
Alparslan further emphasized the importance of the NAZAR Laser Electronic Warfare System and the PELIKAN RF Guided Missile Simulator, stating, “Both systems are crucial innovations that can substantially enhance naval capabilities.”
“At Meteksan Defence, we prioritize collaboration with allied nations, particularly the Malaysian Armed Forces, to leverage our unique and advanced technologies, fostering strategic partnerships in this domain,” he concluded.
