Meteksan Defence showcased its new-generation underwater detection system, SUVDES, at IDEF 2025, designed to detect underwater threats around strategic sites such as military and civilian infrastructure, harbor entrances, and straits.
Designed to protect harbors, naval bases, and critical facilities, SUVDES reliably detects submarines, unmanned underwater vehicles (ROV/AUV/UUV), diver delivery vehicles, and similar threats. The system provides real-time alerts and enhanced situational awareness through multi-sensor integration and a user-friendly interface.
Thanks to its artificial intelligence-supported detection and classification algorithms, SUVDES can be integrated with existing security systems such as WAIS/AIS, radar, cameras, and night vision systems. Its modular and scalable design allows for easy integration and customization to meet specific operational requirements.
Adil BAKTIR, Meteksan Defence President, commented, “As Meteksan Defence, we have a vast experience in underwater acoustics for many years. With this experience, we developed the SUVDES Submarine and Underwater Vehicle Detection System to protect critical facilities such as ports, naval bases, and offshore platforms against underwater threats.
“SUVDES will undertake a critical mission for the detection and early warning of threats such as submarines and unmanned underwater vehicles. With its advanced capabilities and comprehensive threat detection, SUVDES will provide an advanced security in the regions where it is located by providing early warning at critical points where it is positioned.”
