The Mission Specialist ROV is designed to provide optimal power and lift in a compact and maneuverable package, featuring two horizontal and two vertical thrusters and a lateral thrust of 6.1 kg (13.5 lbs) at 1 knot. It can be provided with one of two different float options – a rounded float that provides access to shore power and is ideal for maneuverability in confined spaces, or a squared float that provides a heavier payload capacity and allows use of subsea batteries.
The vehicle is equipped with a spring-loaded vertical manipulator, as well as VideoRay’s state-of-the-art Ultra 4k Smart Camera with onboard image processing and neural network capabilities. The modular ROV has been designed with an upgrade path towards VideoRay’s Mission Specialist Defender, as well as other upcoming configurations.
