4-port MIMO antennas for MALE UAS

Southwest Antennas has introduced two new 4-port antennas to meet the demand for single-radome MIMO antennas for medium range aircraft performing ISR missions. Built around their existing, proven MIMO antenna technology, the new antennas feature design improvements specifically for these new mission requirements.

A new flange mount base has been added, and the antennas have been reinforced to handle the higher altitudes and airspeeds achieved by medium range military turboprop aircraft, commonly used for surveillance, patrol, search and rescue, and transport operations.

With a conservative airspeed rating of up to 374 MPH, the new compact, easy-to-install MIMO antennas can be utilized by aircraft, helicopters, or large UAV systems, allowing aircraft to be easily integrated in tactical MIMO radio networks.

Available in both S and C Band versions, the antennas are rated for 50 Watts of RF input power per port.

Full specifications can be viewed for both products below:

  • Part # 1055-377: 4X4 Omni MIMO Antenna, 45° Slant Left / Right Polarized, 2.1 – 2.5 GHz, 3.9 dBi, Flange Mount Base
  • Part # 1055-378: 4X4 Omni MIMO Antenna, 45° Slant Left / Right Polarized, 4.4 – 5.0 GHz, 5.3 dBi, Flange Mount Base
