Specialists in aeronautics, satellite telecommunication, and networking ATMOSPHERE has revealed the first Iridium-certified 5G/LEO Certus Terminal, the PLANET 9770 UAV-F.
Seen as a groundbreaking achievement in SATCOM, the terminal combines Iridium’s reliable satellite network with 5G’s lightning-fast speeds for seamless global connectivity.
Equipped with high-profile and low-profile antenna options, the PLANET 9770 UAV-F offers versatile solutions for diverse applications.
The product is expected to surge in a market with high potential growth, especially for the UAV sector.
The PLANET 9770 UAV-F Terminal answers mobile communication requirements of UAV systems with Iridium CertusTM 100 satellite service and cellular 4/5G service. It delivers native IP connectivity with Midband throughput (88kbps MT, 22kbps MO) in Certus mode and broadband throughput (up to 615 mbs) in 4/5g mode.
The feature-packed design boasts versatile interfaces, a low-profile passive iridium antenna that can be easily installed on UAVs, and offers local interfaces (Power, Ethernet, Serial, WiFi), and a GNSS receiver for autonomous location and timing.
In addition to mobile IP routing capability, embedded PLANET applications are available through a web interface which provides added value functions such as tracking, collaboration tools, telemetry handling and weather upload services. Live video is also available.
