Nicomatic Unveils Innovative 90° High Power Solder contact for Aerospace and Defense
Nicomatic has introduced a groundbreaking 90° high Power solder contact within its north American Aerospace,Defense, and Security Division.
Enhanced Connector Options
This new contact option is now part of the standard offerings for nicomatic’s CMM 220 and 320 series connectors.Available in both male and female configurations, these contacts support current ratings of 5, 8, 10, 15, and 20A, accommodating cable sizes from AWG12 to AWG20.
Space-saving Design Benefits
The 90° design is notably favorable for engineers, as it minimizes the space typically required for cable bending radii, leading to critically important cost reductions when managing power cables. Users have the flexibility to either solder the contacts to the cable before inserting them into the connector or attach all contacts to the connector first and then solder the wires. Notably, Nicomatic’s CMM connector can endure soldering temperatures of up to 350°C for a duration of 5 seconds.
Versatile Orientation Options
In the CMM220 connector, contacts can be installed in two different orientations, allowing for versatile cable routing—either upwards, downwards, or a combination of both.
Robust Performance Standards
These CMM connectors meet the rigorous standards set by MIL-DTL-55302-F, ensuring reliability under conditions of vibration at 15g, shock at 100g, and temperature ranges from -55°C to +260°C for up to 500 mating cycles.
User-Friendly Online configurator
To simplify the selection process, Nicomatic has developed an intuitive online configurator that assists users in identifying the precise connector they need, while also providing complete 2D and 3D data.
