Nokia has entered into a strategic partnership with Gremsy, a leading innovator in gimbal and payload technology, to create complete payload solutions tailored for Nokia Drone Networks.

Enhancing Drone Capabilities

This collaboration merges Gremsy’s cutting-edge electro-optical and infrared imaging technologies with Nokia’s advanced 4G and 5G drone-in-a-box systems, significantly improving operational efficiency across various sectors, including industrial and public safety.

Integration of Advanced Payloads

The focus of this partnership is on the integration of Gremsy’s VIO and ORUS L payloads, which will be seamlessly incorporated into Nokia Drone Networks. these payloads offer high-resolution imaging, AI-driven functionalities, and reliable real-time video streaming, all within an autonomous drone framework designed for dependable remote operations.

Applications and Benefits

The combined technologies facilitate efficient execution of tasks such as infrastructure assessments, site surveillance, tactical responses, and Drones as a First Responder (DFR) initiatives. Utilizing secure cellular networks, this joint solution ensures the scalability, agility, and situational awareness essential for critical missions.

The integrated payloads are anticipated to be available for commercial use in the latter half of 2025,with plans for further joint growth aimed at enhancing operational capabilities.

International demonstrations and field trials began in early 2025, highlighting the platform’s readiness for deployment and its transformative potential in remote inspection, surveillance, and emergency response operations.
