Extensive Overview of the Generator Control Unit (GCU)
The Generator Control Unit (GCU) is engineered to integrate seamlessly with Visionair Power Distribution Units, creating a robust power supply system for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).This unit efficiently manages electrical power generation, battery oversight, power distribution, and redundancy. It features a primary output of 1000W to energize vehicle electronics, alongside two distinct 500W outputs that facilitate quick in-flight recharging or powering of additional equipment. An optional engine starter can be incorporated, utilizing the same Brushless DC (BLDC) motor and wiring as the power generation system, which optimizes weight and installation efficiency.
durability and Monitoring Capabilities
Built to withstand challenging environments, the GCU boasts an IP67 rating, ensuring its resilience against dust and water. It can be monitored through RS-232 or CAN interfaces, providing real-time data on voltages, currents, and internal temperatures. The outputs are fully user-configurable for both voltage and current, allowing compatibility with a diverse range of battery chemistries and sizes.
