The Reckless USV platform offers an impressive carrying capacity of up to 500 lbs, and features interchangeable lids that allow the platform to be easily reconfigured for a range of speciality missions. Powered by dual electric jet drives, the vessel has been constructed with a lightweight high-strength carbon fiber hull, and is capable of autonomous waypoint navigation.
Variants of the Reckless platform include:
- Cargo Reckless – fitted with a fabric carrier for transportation of mission-critical cargo
- Hound Reckless – counter-UAS radar platform for early warning detection of incoming drone threats
- Sonobuoy Reckless – dispenses Class A sonobuoys for ASW (anti-submarine warfare)
- CASVAC Reckless – casualty evacuation USV that carries a medic plus one person on a stretcher
