Black Widow
Portable sUAS for short-range ISR & electronic warfare
The Black Widow is a portable multirotor sUAS designed to support the warfighter in a variety of tactical scenarios, including short-range reconnaissance and target identification. Made in the USA, the Blue UAS-certified drone system is part of Red Cat’s Arachnid Family of Systems, which has been purpose-built for the U.S. Army’s roadmap for UAS integration. The versatile system features a fully modular architecture, allowing it to be quickly reconfigured in the field for different mission requirements. It is provided as standard with the Teledyne FLIR Hadron 640R+, enabling it to gather mission-critical EO/IR imagery at any time of day or night. An integrated Picatinny rail allows secondary payloads to be connected with ease. The Black Widow also includes a hex-band radio from Doodle Labs, with frequency-stepping for enhanced resilience in electronic warfare (EW) environments.

Advanced thermal imaging capabilities
Optimized for mission-critical night-time operation, the Teal 2 is equipped with the advanced FLIR Hadron 640R EO/IR payload, combining a 64MP visible camera with a radiometric 640 x 512 thermal imager. This sophisticated system enables you to easily identify and track targets and gain critical situational awareness even in complete darkness.
The Hadron 640R provides a comprehensive set of thermal palettes, allowing you to optimize infrared imaging output to suit specific mission requirements. These include:
- White Hot – mostly-dark screen for preserving night vision
- Black Hot – displays body heat in a clear image with high detail
- Hottest – ideal for high-contrast environmental conditions, firefighting and leak detection
- Arctic – contrasts light colors against darker shading, making it easy to rapidly detect heat sources and slight temperature changes
- Ironbow – shows heat distribution and subtle details, ideal for low-contrast environments
