Teal Drones
Our Teal Drones subsidiary develops American-made drone platforms that are more than just flying cameras. Teal’s military-grade unmanned aircraft equip warfighters and civilian operators alike with powerful and rugged capabilities that ensure maximum mission effectiveness even at night and under the most challenging of environmental conditions.
Teal 2
Blue UAS quadcopter with high-resolution thermal imaging
The Teal 2 is an advanced quadcopter sUAS (small unmanned aerial system) that is designed, built, and serviced in the USA and is one of the approved platforms on the U.S. Department of Defense DIU Blue UAS list. Designed primarily for short-range reconnaissance missions, it is ideal for a wide range of military and civilian use cases, and is highly cost-effective within its class.

Advanced thermal imaging capabilities
Optimized for mission-critical night-time operation, the Teal 2 is equipped with the advanced FLIR Hadron 640R EO/IR payload, combining a 64MP visible camera with a radiometric 640 x 512 thermal imager. This sophisticated system enables you to easily identify and track targets and gain critical situational awareness even in complete darkness.
The Hadron 640R provides a comprehensive set of thermal palettes, allowing you to optimize infrared imaging output to suit specific mission requirements. These include:
- White Hot – mostly-dark screen for preserving night vision
- Black Hot – displays body heat in a clear image with high detail
- Hottest – ideal for high-contrast environmental conditions, firefighting and leak detection
- Arctic – contrasts light colors against darker shading, making it easy to rapidly detect heat sources and slight temperature changes
- Ironbow – shows heat distribution and subtle details, ideal for low-contrast environments

Applications
Firefighting The Teal 2’s cutting-edge FLIR Hadron 640R payload make it an excellent choice for supporting firefighting missions. The advanced thermal imaging capabilities allow it to detect and monitor hotspots, assess damage, and analyse temperature data, even under highly limited visibility conditions.
Law Enforcement & Public Safety Our sophisticated drone platforms allow law enforcement, public safety and search and rescue personnel to gather critical aerial intelligence that allows them to make better-informed decisions, respond rapidly, and significantly increase the chances of a successful mission.Red Cat Futures Initiative
We have assembled an industry-wide consortium of robotics and autonomous systems (RAS) partners that leverages agile development capabilities and cutting-edge technologies to provide new solutions for the needs of Government and warfighters. The Red Cat Futures Initiative is designed to accelerate integration through open architecture and interoperability, and provides the customer with a variety of options that allow them to tailor baseline system purchases to their exact requirements. The consortium also focuses on smaller vendors and developers, allowing them to compete effectively in the marketplace against larger businesses.
