Cambridge Pixel Unveils the VSD-C2 Command and Control Display Request
The VSD-C2 application sets a groundbreaking benchmark in customization, delivering unmatched flexibility and functionality within the command and control (C2) software landscape.
As the demand for sophisticated security and defense solutions surges—especially in the fast-paced counter-drone arena—developers and system integrators face mounting pressure to provide advanced, cost-efficient solutions promptly.
Cambridge Pixel recognizes that conventional command and control display applications often require a trade-off between fully customized software, which can be both time-intensive and expensive to create, and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software, which frequently lacks the adaptability needed for specific project demands. The VSD-C2 emerges as a hybrid solution, merging the advantages of both approaches.
This upgraded version of the Video Security Display allows for extensive personalization, enabling users to tailor branding, layout, and functionality to their precise needs.Key features include a wide array of display windows that support both 2D and 3D sensor feeds, live video streams, fused PPI radar, and innovative options like 3D views and panoramic displays. Users can implement customized, multi-step workflows wiht built-in support for various off-the-shelf effector technologies, such as hailing devices, dazzlers, and jammers. Furthermore, the software supports real-time overlay of symbology, along with background maps or charts. The VSD-C2 is also designed to facilitate multi-screen operator displays, significantly boosting operational efficiency.
Integration with VSD-C2 is straightforward, thanks to its adherence to Open Standards and compatibility with an expanding array of sensors and effectors. The software seamlessly integrates with Cambridge Pixel’s modular solutions, allowing for the incorporation of radar interfacing, target tracking, track fusion and distribution, camera slew-to-cue, multi-sensor recording, and more—creating a comprehensive C2 system tailored to specific operational needs.
David Johnson, Founder and Managing Director of Cambridge Pixel, stated, “VSD-C2 tackles the pressing challenge many security and defense integrators encounter today—how to provide a highly customized command and control display solution that is both economical and timely. We are excited to launch this innovative product and encourage interested parties to discover how VSD-C2 can revolutionize their operations.”
