CHC Navigation (CHCNAV) has unveiled the D270, an innovative single-beam echosounder engineered for accurate depth measurement across diverse marine settings. Operating at a frequency of 200 kHz, this device is equipped with an integrated temperature sensor that facilitates real-time sound velocity adjustments, making it exceptionally suitable for various applications involving uncrewed surface vessels (USVs). These applications include river cross-section surveys, assessments of reservoir capacities, environmental monitoring, and analyses of dredging volumes.

Enhanced Performance in Variable Conditions

The D270 is designed to adapt seamlessly to fluctuating water conditions while effectively reducing acoustic interference, ensuring dependable data collection.The inclusion of a temperature sensor allows for immediate sound velocity corrections, which significantly enhances the precision of measurements.With 8GB of internal storage, the device can securely retain extensive survey data, and its embedded Linux operating system enables web-based configuration of parameters and chart plotting. Additionally, data can be wirelessly transmitted to other devices via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, streamlining workflow processes.
