Revolutionizing Aerial Operations: Airbus Helicopters’ HTeaming Solution

airbus Helicopters has introduced HTeaming, a cutting-edge modular solution designed for seamless collaboration between crewed and uncrewed aerial systems (UAS), empowering helicopter crews to manage UAS operations during flight.

Flexible Integration Options

HTeaming can function independently or be incorporated into existing helicopter mission systems. At the recent Paris Air Show, Airbus Helicopters highlighted the standalone version, which includes a user-friendly tablet interface, specialized software for UAS management, and a modem equipped with four antennas for installation on helicopters.

Streamlined Operation for Crews

This innovative system is crafted for standard helicopter crews, significantly reducing their operational workload. HTeaming is modular, with plans for future enhancements and additional functionalities.

Successful Flight Trials

HTeaming has already undergone successful flight testing, including a notable trial in May 2025 with a Spanish Navy H135 helicopter paired with an Airbus flexrotor UAS. Further flight tests with various platforms are scheduled for the coming months.

Years of Growth and Testing

Airbus Helicopters has been diligently advancing crewed-uncrewed collaboration technologies over recent years.Extensive flight tests involving the H135, H145, and H130 helicopters, alongside various UAS, have established a robust foundation for the HTeaming launch. along with the standalone solution presented at the Paris Air Show, integrated options will gradually be rolled out across the Airbus Helicopters product line.

Expert insights

Victor Gerin Roze, Head of UAS at Airbus Helicopters, stated, “Leveraging our dual expertise as both helicopter and UAS manufacturers, along with our thorough system integration capabilities, we are delivering a solution that is both modular and adaptable.”

“HTeaming is designed for effortless integration with any helicopter type and can control various UAS. It will be available to helicopter operators starting in 2026.We view UAS as significant force multipliers for helicopters. By utilizing the sensors and capabilities of uncrewed systems, rotorcraft crews can enhance mission efficiency and safety.”
