Neousys Technology, a leader in rugged embedded systems, has unveiled its latest innovation: the Nuvo-9166GC, an advanced edge AI inference computer.
This cutting-edge platform is powered by IntelS 12th and 13th Generation processors and features an NVIDIA L4 GPU, providing exceptional computational power and AI inference capabilities. With its versatile camera connectivity, the Nuvo-9166GC is perfectly suited for applications that require real-time processing from multiple cameras, such as industrial AI inspections, robotic navigation, and refined autonomous systems.
In light of the increasing demand for smart manufacturing and urban development, Neousys is committed to transforming edge computing through partnerships with Intel and NVIDIA.The Nuvo-9166GC supports Intel Core CPUs with up to 24 cores and 32 threads, offering nearly double the CPU performance compared to previous 10th and 11th Generation models. Additionally, the system incorporates the NVIDIA L4, a data centre-grade GPU based on the Ada Lovelace architecture, designed for energy-efficient AI acceleration. It achieves remarkable performance benchmarks, delivering up to 30.3 TFLOPS in FP32 and 485 TOPS in INT8, setting new standards for industrial edge AI computing.
Neousys emphasizes that the Nuvo-9166GC is engineered for reliability, operating effectively in temperatures ranging from -25°C to 60°C. The system features a passive cooling design for both the CPU and DDR5 memory modules. Its unique patented Cassette module includes an air tunnel that ensures a continuous flow of cool air through the passive heat sink of the NVIDIA L4, optimizing performance. The Nuvo-9166GC is equipped with six Gigabit Ethernet ports, six USB 3.0 ports, MezIO expansion capabilities, and an additional PCIe slot, allowing for the connection of up to fourteen industrial GigE cameras or eighteen industrial USB 3.0 cameras. To accommodate the data generated by these cameras, the system includes two 2.5″ SATA HDD/SSD slots that support RAID 0/1 configurations, along with an M.2 2280 Gen4x4 slot for an NVMe SSD, which can achieve extreme read/write speeds of up to 7000 MB/s, ideal for operating system installation.
“Our goal is to equip industries with next-generation GPU edge computing solutions,” stated Kaichu Wu, Product Manager at Neousys Technology. “As one of the first to launch a ruggedized industrial computer featuring Intel’s 12th and 13th generation Core processors alongside a data center-grade GPU, we are dedicated to harnessing the power of NVIDIA GPUs to enhance bright manufacturing sectors.”
