Introducing the flight Stand 60: A Cutting-Edge Testing Solution
Tyto Robotics has unveiled the Flight Stand 60, a state-of-the-art engine testing platform designed for assessing UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) propellers and internal combustion engines (ICE).
Remarkable Specifications for Precision Testing
This advanced stand can measure thrust up to 60 kgf, torque levels reaching 30 Nm, rotation speeds of up to 16,800 RPM, fuel flow rates of 800 mL/min, and temperatures soaring to 800°C. The thorough kit includes a thrust and torque measurement unit, a fiber optic RPM sensor, a fuel flow sensor, two thermocouples for exhaust and system temperature readings, an airspeed pressure sensor for airflow data, and specialized Flight Stand software.
Robust Design for Enhanced Performance
The Flight Stand 60 boasts a vibration-resistant architecture, featuring custom dampers suitable for various engine sizes. With a sampling rate of 1000 Hz, it facilitates dynamic testing and in-depth analysis of harmonics, vibrations, and torque. Moreover, the thrust and torque sensors are calibrated according to ASTM standards, ensuring precise measurements.
diverse Applications for Optimal Engine Performance
The Flight Stand 60 is versatile, with applications that include:
- Evaluating engine-propeller pairings
- Tuning carburetors and breaking in engines
- Assessing fuel efficiency
- Testing variable pitch propellers
- Synchronizing cylinder performance
- Creating 3D performance plots for engines
- Optimizing crank angles
