Their innovative range features the long-endurance SEAEXPLORER series of underwater gliders, alongside advanced solutions for buoyancy, submarine-launched UAV deployment, and oceanographic data acquisition.
### Discover More About ALSEAMAR’s Innovations
The SEAEXPLORER series of unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) boasts extraordinary autonomous sensing and data gathering capabilities, with operational durations extending up to eight weeks. These vehicles utilize a variable-buoyancy propulsion system, allowing them to navigate silently through the water column. They can be outfitted with various payloads for missions including oceanographic data collection, swift environmental assessments, acoustic monitoring, and anti-submarine operations.
The SEAEXPLORER gliders are not only cost-efficient but also have minimal logistical requirements, eliminating the need for support vessels during missions and enabling straightforward deployment from research ships.
ALSEAMAR’s BMTI division offers a complete array of subsea buoyancy solutions tailored for ROVs (remotely operated vehicles), AUVs (autonomous underwater vehicles), resident underwater vehicles, and trenching machines. BMTI provides both standard foam blocks and fully customized buoyancy modules, crafted in-house using proprietary materials and formulations, along with complete project management services to support every phase of the process.
These buoyancy solutions are engineered for depths ranging from 1,000 to 12,000 meters and are precision-manufactured with protective coatings, paints, and robust metal inserts.
The BLACK BIRD system enhances deepwater submarines with the capability to launch UAVs, enabling the collection of crucial real-time data from the surface while maintaining stealth.
This system employs a compact quadcopter drone that is launched from a tubular underwater vehicle, complemented by a communications antenna that floats on the surface to relay data from the drone back to the submarine.
ALSEAMAR also offers comprehensive turnkey services utilizing the SEAEXPLORER platform, which includes mission planning, glider deployment and retrieval, continuous operation, real-time and post-mission data analysis, and final reporting. Potential applications encompass:
#### Marine & environmental Science:
- Oceanographic studies
- Water quality and pollution assessments
- Eutrophication analysis
- Acoustic surveys
#### Subsea Oil & Gas Installations and offshore Platforms:
- Environmental baseline assessments
- Operational support and metocean studies
- Oil spill response strategies
- Pre-exploration and seep detection
- Marine mammal monitoring
- Offshore energy infrastructure and pipeline surveillance
The SEAEXPLORER is also exceptionally suited for passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) and rapid environmental assessment (REA) missions.
